Registration is Full for Normal Classes. Learning to Sail Registration is Open!

Due to limitations on capacity, Town of Nahant based participants will be given priority during the registration process.

NSP will run for 6 weeks (15 classes), with the possibility of 2-week options (5 classes) if there is availability after offering full season registration.

Program Dates:

Start: July 6th End: August 14th

Learning to Sail Registration

Class 1: July 20th-31st

Class 2: July 3rd-14th

Capacity: 7 students per class

Our standard class will not be offered this year due to Social Distancing Limitations.

The NSP Learning to Sailing Class this year will consist of 4 hour long in-person lessons over the course of two weeks. This class will be land based due to COVID restrictions. We will be offering two identical classes with a maximum of 7 students per class. This class will be offered with no charge.

Students must be entering 3rd grade or 8 years old to sign up.

For the first week the class will be on Monday and Wednesday and for the second week on Tuesday and Thursday. All classes will take place from 10am-11am.

REGISTRATION IS COMPLETE ONLY WHEN ELECTRONIC FORM HAS BEEN COMPLETED AND CHECK AND RELEASE FORM RECEIVED

** All students must pass a swim test, in the ocean, on the first day of class**

**Children can ONLY be registered for courses for which they have director/instructor approval(see PDF below)**

  • NSP realizes the social aspect of sailing is important, but gives priority to safety and the logistical aspects of the program.

  • Kids can't choose classes simply based on the need and desire to be with friends or for scheduling convenience of the parents, if they are not qualified/approved to be in that class.
